Crop tops are taking a new form this season. Ditching their usual skin-tight shape, the new short shirts feature ruffles, peplums, pleats and gathers. Designers Max Azria for BCBG and Thakoon kickstarted this trend in their Spring 2014 collections. While they may seem difficult to wear, don't let these pieces fool you. The spaghetti-strapped beauties can be easily paired with high wasted shorts (à la Leandra Medine), low rise pants to show some skin, or a structured pencil skirt. Personally, I'd style any of these crop tops with a pair of white, high waisted, wide leg pants, which I've forever been searching for… Anyone know of a cute pair?
