Today in Los Angeles it may be 79 degrees and sunny, but all I want to do is wear a turtleneck. After recently re-watching Breakfast at Tiffany's, I found myself especially fond of one of Holly Golightly's less infamous outfits featuring a boxy, oatmeal colored turtleneck sweater. Hepburn looked absolutely marvelous in her cozy knit. A modern-day take on the chunky turtleneck look can often be seen on Swedish style star Elin Kling (see above, here, and here), who often pairs the sweater silhouette with a tight, cropped pant and masculine loafers or jet black stilettos. It's a look that I'm itching to don, but unless the weather miraculously drops 30 degrees I'll be stuck with my plain old, thin and neckless sweaters. Who would've thought a girl would ever dream of wearing a turtleneck?!
