La Vie Boheme

Free People Tank (similar here) and Slip, Mr. Kate Ear Cuffs, Homemade Turquoise Necklace, Tiffany & Co. Locket, Jennifer Meyer and Ariel Gordon Rings, Sam Edelman Sandals

(Speaking in Gossip Girl language here...) I typically dress in a girly and polished Blair Waldorf manner. Recently, however, I've decided to channel my inner bohemian side by pulling a Vanessa Abrams.
I figured that summer's warm weather was the perfect time to test drive a looser look. I layered my crocheted tank over a flowy slip, added in a touch of turquoise, and topped it off with an asymmetrical braided 'do.

It's a lot of fun trying out a different look!
Who do you think I should channel next?

Ella Et Cetera Magazine

I'm thrilled to finally share my work from FIT! This is the outcome of my magazine design class. I used content from my blog and Tumblr to create 'Ella Et Cetera' Magazine.

What do you think?

Fruitful

Lazy Oaf Pineapple Shorts, ASOS Swing Dress, Nasty Gal Watermelon Crop Tank, MOTO Banana Print Denim Biker and Skirt

Vegetables are so last year. Fruits however, from pineapples to watermelons to bananas, are making their ripe debut this summer. They're often celebrated with busy patterns and vibrant colors; Carmen Miranda would surely approve.

I'm going bananas for this look! What do you think?

Learning The Ropes

Madewell Dress, Clare Vivier Clutch, J.Crew Sandals

Summer is finally here; thank goodness! Even though I'm on break, my schedule has continued to be jam-packed (fortunately not in the academic sense).
I had two wonderful internships in the month of June. The first was for Jennifer Meyer Jewelry and the second for Janie Bryant who is the Costume Designer for Mad Men. Both internships were a ton of fun and such great learning experiences-I can't wait to continue working!
This month I left the Golden State and am in the Big Apple taking classes at FIT. With Magazine Design in the morning and Anatomy of Fashion in the afternoon, I'm totally inspired.
In addition to my classes I'm trying to soak up as much of New York City as possible. I'm staying at my best friend Cleo's house, which is only a couple of blocks away from the beautiful Madison Square Park. The park's current art installation features massive rope sculptures by artist Orly Genger. I couldn't help myself from snapping a few pics!
