I instantly fell in love with Play by Comme Des Garçons while visiting the Dover Street Market in London a couple years ago. Recently I was reminded of my affection when I stumbled upon this incredible nail art featuring the iconic heart character. After browsing pieces from the brand online, I've become obsessed! I love the simplicity of the polka-dotted, striped, and white t-shirts, and the little red heart gives each one so much character.

Well Aged

Blouse: Urban Outfitters • Camisole: American Apparel • Cardigan: Madewell • Shorts: Madewell • Boots: Dolce Vita • Tote: Marc by Marc Jacobs

An important quality I look for in clothing is how long-lasting a piece will be. This outfit is a perfect example of items that have lasted me for years. For example, the black and white polka dot blouse and boyfriend cardigan are pieces I purchased in eighth grade (two years ago), and have survived incredibly well! I also love how my booties from my freshman year are getting worn-in, scuffed, and tattered; they seem to get more stylish with age. Hopefully my oversized tote which I carry every day for school will last me two more years!

Summer Vibes

Gidget Top • Huarache Heel • One Piece Halter • Amira Dress
Silvia Skirt • Market Bag • Wide Brim Hat

I've had a crush on Steven Alan for a long time and I'm pretty much obsessed with the pieces they're carrying for summer. There's a lot of chambray seen in crop tops, skirts, and shirt dresses. Stripes (my favorite, of course)are also prominent, and I love the classic red-and-white combo in a bathing suit! Finally, leather accented accessories are popping up, whether it be handles on a tote bag or tied around a straw hat.

Marvelous Minnie

Dress: Minnie Mortimer • Sandals: J.Crew • Bracelet: Dodo

This weekend I had the pleasure of attending the opening of the new Minnie Mortimer Shop in Brentwood. The store was truly 'mini'  but filled with tons of adorable clothes! From perfect tees to mini skirts to maxi dresses, every piece was classic and wearable but also fresh and stylish. The were stripes galore with pops of unexpected color. I left with this form-fitting dress, and it's for sure a piece I'll be wearing very often! It fits like a glove, is super comfortable, and the orange and blue make for a great color combination. I'm already a fan of Minnie and her label and I can't wait to see more of both in the future!

On The Bright Side

Uniqlo T-shirt • Levi's High-Waisted Denim Cutoffs • Les Toiles Du Soleil Espadrilles

The ease of being able to throw on a t-shirt and shorts in warm weather is wonderful. Normally I'd opt for a simple white tee and cuffed dark-wash denim shorts, but this time I decided to mix it up a bit! I'm currently aiming towards wearing more colorful looks for spring and the vivid hues of red and fuchsia in this outfit undoubtedly help me reach this goal. Along with the super washed-out, slightly distressed cutoffs, I'd say the look was a successful update from my usual ways!
