This weekend I read a fascinating article in the LA Times about the successful Sophia Amoruso and her online store Nasty Gal. The story mentioned how the company has had extreme growth selling other brands and is now designing their own collection. It debuted this past Monday and I decided to check it out.
The premiere collection features plunging necklines, fringe, and itty bitty shorts, which all live up to the brand's name. Being my girly self, the pieces that spoke to me most were feminine and pastel. The "Glitch" blouse and skirt are great silhouettes especially when worn together, and the bold graphic print looks pretty in blush pink. The "Censored Skater Dress" stood out because it reminded me of an old Versus collection I've always loved. Its sheer fabric and lavender color are lovely compliments.
