The Weather Outside is Frightful

It is, it really is. No seriously. You want to know how hot is was today? Well, tell me if any of these points explain it to you:
1. My book cover that turns pink when it's cold and white when it's hot was as white as snow.
2. In French when I got up to leave class my skirt was stuck to my chair.
3. My chap stick was melted.
4. My water bottle was empty before lunch had even started.
And to make it all worse, I made the bad decision of wearing this long sleeve chocolate brown shirt that arrived in the mail yesterday from Nasty Gal. But I must say I think my outfit was a cute one!

You look kinda cute, in that polka dot turban girl.

Just so you know, I didn't intend for my nail polish to be different on each hand. I can't even still decide if I'm happy with it or not. Yesterday, I really wanted to try leopard print on my nails. I painted my left hand fully. The colors I used were Alpine Snow by OPI, Heart Throb by OPI, and Metro Chic by Sephora by OPI. Afterwards, I attempted to do a good job painting my right hand. Since I'm a rightie and not a leftie, this did not work out well. So, I just decided to paint my right nails all Metro Chic. And if you're wondering, the pink and white polka dot turban on my head was just recently purchased. It's called Mimi's Diva Dryer Hair Towel, and it works super well and gets all of the water out of your hair so you don't have to worry about not blow drying your hair or it being sopping wet in the mornings.

When I don't have anything to do...

This Charming Jewelry

I found This Charming Girl through Fashiolista, and I'm absolutely in love with their jewelry. My favorite is the sewing machine necklace, because I love to sew. I'm not exactly sure if the products sell in the United States, because all of the prices are in pounds on the website. Whether or not I would be able to buy from the company, I still think they have a fabulous selection of jewelry to choose from!

Flash cards that were typed on my typewriter, a logo for myself I made for my art history class, and what I've been living off of for the past couple of weeks. Oh, the joys of high school.

Boys boys boys

Some of my loves. From top; Joseph Gordon Levitt, Aaron Johnson, Mika, Mark Salling, and Hugh Dancy. Who are some of your celebrity crushes?

All images found through Google, I don't know their exact owners.

Goodgoodgood morning so far. I woke up in my super comfy (nerdy) pink and black polka dotted footies, and gave myself a homemade facial steaming. Now my skin is sooo clear. I watched this amazing video of my future husband on YouTube a friend sent to me. I gave myself a red mani-pedi, and found an old No Doubt cd that I uploaded into my iTunes. I used to be obsessed with Gwen Stefani, and now I think some of it's coming back. Now I have to go start my homework, I never though I would get this much in high school! It's a lot!

A Nylon Fashion Week

I'm subscribed to Nylon Magazine's YouTube page, and their best videos always come from fashion week. I'm a total failure when it comes to following shows, and these videos don't fail to keep me updated. Here are some of my favorites:

Marc is probably my favorite designer of all time. I've liked him from a young age, for example I wore a Little Marc dress for my fifth grade graduation. What stood out most for me in this collection were the bags. I especially like orange one Lindsey Wixson carries, and it looks great with the pink and white ruffly dress. Definitely an outfit I would wear.

Personally, Betsy Johnson's designs aren't my favorite. I do love some of her pieces, but I don't think I could base an everyday wardrobe out of her clothes. The one thing I admire the most about her is that she's not afraid to have fun. Sometimes fashion gets too serious, and that makes it a little boring. Skateboarding, flashing your undies to the audience, and dancing down the runway make a show so much more fun to watch!

Whitney Port. I saw her in an airport once while my class was arriving home from a school trip. I never, ever knew that she had a fashion line though! I think some of these pieces look cute, and very wearable for school or work.

0:19. Those are life.

If you want to get a haircut, you go to your hair dresser. If you want to color your hair, you go to your colorist. But what do you do if you want to get a blowout? Here's where the Drybar comes in. It's located in the Brentwood Gardens, and you just zip in, get your hair washed, styled, and you're done. It's perfect if you have a party or bat/bar mitzvah to go to, a graduation, or your first day of high school (which was my reason for going)! They have a menu of hairstyles to choose from, my personal favorite is "The Manhattan." It's pin straight and is a treat for me considering I have curly hair. Everyone who works there is really sweet, and they always have movies playing and fun music. Now they're opening up one in the Palisades, and hopefully the company will continue to grow!

Even though I don't live in New York, I still needed to be involved in Fashion's Night Out. Some stores at the Westfield Century City Mall were having special events to celebrate, so I went with two of my friends, Mikaela and Mia. I would've taken pictures during your time spent, but we were so caught up in what we were doing that we didn't even think to! Some of the stores we went into were:
• Kate Spade, where they had a raffle for a bag with some cute prizes inside, they handed out brownies and drinks, and gave out free perfume samples.
• Theory, where they sold Fashion's Night Out t-shirts, and if you bought one they gave you a cute tote and an umbrella.
• 7 For All Mankind, where they gave out sugar cookies shaped like jeans and had free Tarte Cosmetics makeovers.
The night was definitely a success, and I invested in some great purchases!

A free sample (and confetti) of Kate Spade's new perfume, Twirl, which smells lovely.

Hair clips from H&M.

Metro Chic nail polish by Sephora by OPI. I was contemplating on whether to buy that or Tickle My France-y, but Metro Chic was just so gorgeous I had to get it.

Tarte lipstain in Lust. I've been loving red lips lately and this looks great on!

A free sample of this face cream that supposedly has all this natural junk in it that I'm really nervous to try out.

A Fashion's Night Out t-shirt.

A sweater from H&M, that I am completely in love with. It'll look so great over high waisted skinny jeans with a long necklace some rings and boots.

Thank you Free People! I can finally do a fishtail braid! Since I saw one in Seventeen Magazine in, probably 6th grade (luckily now I've moved onto Nylon and Teen Vogue), I knew I needed to figure out how to make one. I looked all over the internet and attempted and failed several times. Thanks to these videos it actually make sense! I especially love the rainbow braid but I'm not daring enough to try that one out...
