Foxes or Cats?

Today I went back to school shopping on the 3rd Street Promenade. I got a couple of really cute things that I can't wait to wear to my first year of high school!

Black leather belt from J-crew.

Tank from Urban Outfitters. Just curious, but do you think the animals supposed to be foxes, or cats?

Striped skirt with zipper in back from Urban Outfitters.

Dress from Urban Outfitters aka my favorite thing that I purchased today.

I also got a pair of legging jeans from Gap. They're super comfy and fit me perfectly! I usually only get cigarette jeans from Urban Outfitters, and I think these are definitely the equivalent.

Clinique "Spicy" Quad

Lately I've really been wanting to get an eyeshadow palette. I went to Sephora with my friend Mikaela the other day, and I searched high and low for a good palette for me. The woman there insisted on me buying this palette by TheBalm. I liked it, but I wasn't in love. I liked some of the Clinique trios and quads, but I didn't try any on. Mikaela said she had a Clinique quad at home in spicy, and she didn't want anymore. So when I went to her house today she gave it to me.

When I got home I experimented with it right away, and I fell in love with it! I didn't use the darkest brown because I don't have a liner brush, but I used the other three colors. I put the gold color on my lid up to my brow bone, the dark pink on my lid, and finally the lighter brown in my crease and under my lash line. I topped it off with BadGal Lash in black (a.k.a the best mascara on the face of the earth).

Oh, and I also got the nail decals from Urban that I'd been wanting, so I thought I might as well add a picture of that in...

Current Music Favs

I might even like this more then kids. (Not kids like children, kids the song by MGMT)

The regular music video didn't work so I had to use this one...

This is probably my favorite song right now, because whenever I put it on I keep playing it over and over and over.

My Masterpiece

When I was at sleep away camp, I took fabric arts as my intensive. So basically I was in the fabric arts building for an hour every day, sitting at a machine, sewing something. In that class I made a tote. It's this teddy bear applique type thing on the front of the bag, and then the body and straps are a deep red corduroy. It was super easy to make, and I learned that I really enjoy to make bags.

So now I'm in the midst of sewing different sorts of bags. The most current one is definitely my favorite. I worked extremely hard on it, and I'm so happy with how it turned out. I can't decided whether I should use it for school or not. I doubt I will, because I don't think it has the capability of holding all my heavy binders and books. But I must say it is very adorable!

The body of the bag is made out of old linen my mom gave me, and the straps are a pink floral cotton fabric. For the pocket on the front I put magazine cutouts in-between two pieces of acetate. It was surprisingly easy to make, and in the future I'm planning on making more in different shapes and sizes.
